MPCF cadets take exam, interview by Epic Gas Crewing

CANAMAN, Camarines Sur - To ensure that future employment awaits MPCF Canaman’s maritime students before they even graduate, Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation in Canaman, this province nurtures partnerships with various shipping companies. Most of the companies visit the school eyeing for potential recruits for hiring.
 

One of the shipping companies is Epic Gas Crewing, Inc.

On November 4-6, 2015, Capt. Allwyn Lobo, representative of Epic Gas Crewing, Inc. visited the campus to look for potential cadets who have the knowledge and skills to be part of their company. In his two-day visit, Capt. Lobo conducted interview and examination for 2nd year and 3rd year BSMT and BSMARE students.

In keeping with the traditional reception for visitors from various Philippine and foreign industries, arrival honors for the Epic Gas captain were given by the MPCF Community led by the Administration, the Management Committee, cadets and MPCF Band. VP for Administration Mr. Napoleon Mangente delivered the welcoming remarks together with the school’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Marilissa Jimenez-Ampuan, who also gave a brief message during the program.

VP for Academc Affairs, Ms. Marian Lazaro was also present to assist the cadets before taking the exam.

Capt. Lobo also shared some words of encouragement to the cadets. The Culinary Department prepared refreshing cocktails and delicious meals upon his arrival at the culinary hall.
The cadetship examination, which started at 08:20 a.m., was facilitated by Capt. Lobo himself, assisted by VPAA Ms. Marian Lazaro and Shipboard Training Director 3/E Ricardo Vargas at the Library for Safe Seafaring (L4SS). The examination was followed by the interview of the candidates at 1 p.m.
