QUEZON City — Swimming sensation Midn. Jifrey Azor of Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) Camarines Sur has once again proven his athletic prowess in the recently concluded 76th Philippine Swimming League – Diliman Preparatory School (PSL-DPS) Leg Series Summer Swim Meet held at Diliman Preparatory School on May 17, 2015.
Azor, who has been the school’s main man in local and international swimming competitions, also went home triumphantly after bagging several medals from various swimming events during the regional and national Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Games held in Sorsogon and Iloilo City in March and April this year.
Azor battled athletes from different colleges and universities who showcased their swimming skills to bring honor to their respective schools.
The administration of MPCF Camarines Sur encourages young athletes who enroll, especially those with potential to stand-out in the field of swimming as a sport.
With this skill expected from maritime cadets to excel, the school continues to support the training of students who can promote the institution thru this sport. In the past years, swimmers from MPCF have made their mark in local, regional, national and even in international competitions.
In the recent game, swimmer Jiffrey Azor bagged four medals in different categories; bronze in 200-meter individual medley, bronze medal in 50m butterfly, silver in 50-meter breaststroke and a silver medal in the 50-meter backstroke events. He placed 4th in the 50-meter Freestyle. (CAS)
