Hundreds of MPCF Cam Sur students join Fire/Earthquake Drill

CANAMAN, Camarines Sur – Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) this province held a fire-earthquake drill on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 right inside the school campus.

At the rate fire and earthquakes are happening today, MPCF is aware that aside from this activity being a requirement for maritime schools to conduct, it is also an effective way to prepare people to avoid having casualties in the event the calamity would strike.

The yearly fire and earthquake drill has been a regular activity by the MPCF community in cooperation with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Canaman town and Naga City and the Rotary Club of Isarog.

Students, faculty and staff participated in the safety exercises given. Focus was on the do’s and don’t’s as pro-active measure should real earthquake or fire occur.

The RCY, an organization which assists in giving safety and in saving people’s lives contributed much to the exercise by providing first aid treatment to the victims of the simulated calamities. (CAS)
