The Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services (PAPSAS) in the Bicol Region recently elected new members of its Board of Officers. The representative of Mariners’ Polytechnic Colleges Foundtion (MPCF) of Camarines Sur, the school’s Vice President for External and Student Affairs Napoleon Mangente was elected Member of the Board of Directors of the organization.
The association aims at providing opportunities for Student Affairs Services (SAS) professionals to enhance their competencies. It opens venues for fellowship and sharing of practices on the flexible delivery of programs and services. It also offers opportunities for collaborative undertakings and service among schools to further serve the Bicolano students and other stakeholders in the academe.
At MPCF in Canaman, Camarines Sur, the Student Affairs Services Department is headed by Director Ramchand Tolaram who closely coordinates with the office of the Vice President for External and Student Affairs (VPESA) Napoleon Mangente for its activities and advocacies.
Under the new normal in which the undertakings of students are greatly limited by the COVID-19 pandemic, this department continues to face the challenge brought about by the health crisis as it manages to make things happen in the performance of its task.
Thru the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services (PAPSAS) in the Bicol Region, MPCF is able to continuously connect with other education institutions, as it proceeds to explore avenues of cooperation and coordination, all for the purpose of improving the services rendered by the school to students and the academic community.
