With the advent of the post-pandemic period, the Senior High School (SHS) Department of Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) in Camarines Sur started to teem again with campus happenings.

The first semester of academic year 2022-2023 was seen to be lively and engaging. Participation and engagement in numerous activities have been rekindled. In the academic field, the school provided opportunities for learners to study not only in the classrooms, but through seminars, workshops, and practical laboratory exercises. In the realm of extracurricular activities, the Department has manifested its desire to compete and represent the school in various contests. During the first semester, the school participated in several sporting events and managed to excel.  The interest and potential of students were discovered in the different sports.  As part of the Faculty Development Program, some instructors had the prospect to attend seminars and trainings to enhance the expertise in their respective fields.   This reveals the Department’s successful transition from the ‘online’ to the ‘in-person’ classes format. It includes the organizing of activities via zoom to gathering the students in a single location. Now that the pandemic has started to wane, the SHS Department continues to face the challenge as it marches towards the restoration of the system back to its top form just like in the pre-pandemic period.
