CHEd Central Office meets Mariners’ led SED Program Team

CHEd Central Office led by the OPRKM OIC Chief Education Specialist Ms. Mayumi Belandres and HEDF Chief Budget Officer Ms. Diana Aguilar met with the Social Enterprises Development Program Team and Advisory Board led by Mariners Canaman President Dr. Marilissa J. Ampuan.

With partners CBSUA President Dr Albert Naperi, Mariners Legazpi President Ms. Merle San Pedro, and Tabang Bicol Movement (TBM) Board Chair Evita Jimenez- Tuazon, they were joined by representatives from PODiS led by president Virginia Blaza and Ilaw POs, now operating their Social Enterprises.

CHEd Region V representatives headed by Ms. Alice Nieto accompanied the Central office CHEd officials.

The TBM distillation bldg from DA powered by an off grid solar panel from DoST is now operational and managed by the PODiS, assisted by TBM.

The SED, a two year research, development, and extension program in Bicol for economic resilience among disaster survivors is headed by Dr. Cely Binoya with project leaders Dr. Hanilyn Hidalgo, Dr. Philip Talay, Dr. Nila Oñate and Ms. Pat Boneo.
