The academic community of Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) of Canaman, Camarines Sur reminisces the 101st Birth Anniversary of the school Founder, the late Commodore Jaime Chavez Jimenez.

Mariners’ System remembers Commo Jaime Chavez Jimenez’ 101st Birth Anniversary
The three schools of Mariners’ System in Bicol (Mariners Polytechnic Colleges-Naga, Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation-Legazpi City and Mariners Polytechnic Colleges-Camarines Sur) reminisced the legacy and vision of the late Founder Commodore Jaime Chavez Jimenez on April 30, 2023 as the Institutions observed his 101st Birth Anniversary.
The event adopted the theme, “Back to the Roots” with the School Founder having been born and having grown-up in Brgy. San Vicente, Libmanan, Camarines Sur.
The commemoration brought the school community back to Brgy. San Vicente which was the center of the activities. The Institutions have earmarked a project, the ‘JCJ Memorial Fund Drive’ intended to raise Two Million PHP to rehabilitate the Multi-Purpose Center at the San Vicente Parish Church.
A simple program was held at the Parish Church compound with the MPCF Band and Majorettes’ exhibition performance adding color to the event.
The occasion was joined by the members of the Board of Trustees, the Members of the Management Committees of MPC-Naga and MPCF-Camarines Sur, Representatives from MPCF-Legazpi, the relatives of the Jimenez’s, Students, Members of the Faculty & Staff, Brgy. Officials and other schools’ stakeholders.
