MPCF-Cam Sur, MPC-Naga join hands in Career Guidance Orientation missions

The Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) in Canaman, Camarines Sur and Mariners Polytechnic Colleges (MPC) in Naga City pooled their manpower resources in conducting Career Guidance Orientation missions in the different public and private Senior High Schools in the provinces of Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte.

The two schools presented to graduating Senior High School Students with what is in store for them once they enroll in any of the two institutions.

At the center of the presentations were the schools’ slogan, “We Educate, We Train and We Assist”.  The Senior High School students were briefed especially on the assistance the schools extend to the graduates so they may land a job in line with the course they finished.

The school is able to accomplish this thru the linkages established with companies which become partners of the institutions.

In the case of Maritime Students, some shipping firms offer scholarships so that the moment they finish their course, they are automatically absorbed by the sponsoring company.

The linkages go as far as accepting students to have their On-The-Job-Trainings (OJT) in their organizations with opportunities to go back and work there after graduation.  This goes true to those who are taking-up BS Hospitality Management and BS in Tourism programs.

The team invited the attendees to take the challenge and avail of the opportunities presented. It was also pointed-out to them that being financially challenged should not be a hindrance to being able to get a college degree as there are ways should they really be determined to land a good paying job once they graduate.

Among the schools the Career Guidance Orientation Team visited were the following National High Schools in Camarines Sur: Pili National High School, San Jose National High School, Don Gregorio Balatan Institute, Balatan National High School, Coguit National High School, Pamukid National High School, Ragay National Agriculture and Fisheries School, Pararao National Pamukid National HS- San Fernando Cam Sur,  Ragay National Agriculture and Fisheries School-Ragay, Cam Sur, Pararao National HS-Balatan, Cam Sur, and Bula Nationl Pamukid National HS- San Fernando Cam Sur,  Ragay National Agriculture and Fisheries School, Pararao National High School and Bula Nationl High School.
