The Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) of Camarines Sur started to observe the 2023 Maritime Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANAMO) with the initial activity conducted right inside the campus.

It was participated by students taking-up National Service Training Program (NSTP), the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) Trainees and the members of the Mariners Community Volunteers (MaCoVo) with Team Leader (TL) Midwn. Jess Vera and the member-students leading the way.

One of the highlights of the event was conducted on September 30, 2023, a day before the start of the month-long celebration of MANAMO in October. The thrust was simple but straight to the point: “There has to be awareness on the part of the citizens when it comes to taking care of our environment”.

In the forefront were the students taking-up National Service Training Program the Civic Welfare Training Service Trainees and the members of the Mariners Community Volunteers

The participants swept, picked, segregated, secured and collected the different kinds of trashes and garbage found inside the campus.

This movement is part of the ‘Environmental Youth Camp’ which serves as the kick-off drive to commence the school’s involvement in the October Celebration of the Maritime Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month.

This was initiated by the Community Extension Services Office (CESO) under the leadership of

Its Department Head Mr. Eric Luceña.
